1. Architecture

ChinaVnet is divided to two levels of Group Center and Provincial Center. A Provincial Center, as a virtual province, can get simple access to ChinaVnet. The overall architecture is shown as follows:

The Vnet platform provides unified architecture supporting all the SPs to integrate their services as plug-ins to the platform for subscribers, and performs the corresponding billing and settlement for the services offered.

3. Application mix

ChinaVnet is positioned to be built into a one-stop broadband information and entertainment center. As a platform for value-added Internet services, ChinaVnet shall consolidate all kinds of value-added Internet services open to subscribers.

 Broadband access operator changed its role from a pure access provider to a provider of access + content

System Role

While ChinaNet is an Internet access service by China Telecom, ChinaVnet is an Internet content service by China Telecom.
