Kenny Kwan (born on December 30, 1980) is a Hong Kong singer, actor and model, under the music label, EEG. He was born in the Philippines, but grew up in Hong Kong.

 

At the age of 20, he and his former partner, Steven Cheung were created as the members of Boy'Z, that became one of the most popular pop duals in Hong Kong.

 

He should fare pretty well on his own in Hong Kong. In 2005, he left Boy'Z so he could pursue his career as a solo artist. It must have been tough for him to leave Boy'z but he made a great decision career-wise. He has since released four solo albums in July and December of 2005, July 2006 and June 2007. The albums are called Oncoming, Musick, Mie Wo Sagashite (with a 160-page photo book) and In Progress. Oncoming features his chart-topping piece "Breakup without Sorrow", which expresses the feeling of separating with a loved one. The MV for this song stars rising idol Ella Koon as his girlfriend. The album also contains "Prophet" and its MV, in which he portrays an architect who neglects his girlfriend, played by Charlene Choi of Twins. He focuses on the topic of romance for his latest solo release In Progress that features the smash hit "Premonition Book", especially penned for him by singer-songwriter Hins Cheung. Also including his red-hot tune "Meaningless Obscure Literature", his new album shows that he is still the boy to look out for.

 

In 2007, he featured Sun Boy'z' new song, 3+1=1 in their second album All For 1. This marks their first cooperation since he separated from the group. After he went solo, Steven was teamed with newcomer Dennis Mak for the second-generation Boy'z. The group experienced another facelift in 2006 with the addition of William Chan, and the trio took on the name Sun Boy'z. Now all four Boy'z members, current and former, come together for the song 3+1=1. In the song's music video, the boys can be seen as old friends who get involved in a quarrel, but he comes in as a peacemaker.

 

He possesses a distinctive physical charm hardly found in other young male idols. There is noticeable improvement in his vocals compared to his Boy'z days. I love his sweet soft voice and his saxophone skills. He has always been a hardworking fellow. Well known for his mysophobia, he showers many times a day, and all clothes have to be ironed nicely.
