Bus Bug

Everyday I have to take buses to work. Bus as the main public transportation vehicle is actually quite convenient and fast most of the time. I often leave for the bus stop five or ten minutes earlier just to avoid the rush hour crowd and occasionally when I am late for one reason or another I have to chase buses in order not to miss them.

 

However, riding a bus can be a bother since it gets squashy. It is not as nice when there is no seat (or extremely dirty seats) on the bus and you have to stand or when the bus is full and you cannot get off without pushing millions of other people and saying "excuse me" a million times. Surely it is quite annoying when buses are too late, especially when you are in hurry and when you have to sit next to a guy that has no bath in a month! What I hate also include grumpy bus drivers and the stuffiness, especially when it is the flu season and everyone seems to be coughing. Air conditioning is also a problem that really bugs me. It is too weak or powerful most of the time, though seldom goes wrong. As I always take my laptop with me, I shall go crazy when someone jacks my stuff on a packed bus. Every time I get off the buses, the first thing I want to do is to wash my hands, and even take a shower, if at all possible! And when I am not in a good mood, I do not like to cramp inside the bus. I would rather walk.

 

You can neither cry nor laugh when you are in a hurry, the bus goes slowly, but when you are not in a hurry, it goes so fast and you reach your destination 20 minutes earlier.

 

Then what are my other hopes for the buses? There is no need for me to take multiple buses for a trip as a bus will take me directly to where I want to go; buses have their own dedicated lanes to escape from traffic jams and every passenger is guaranteed not only a seat but also a footrest.
